Earlier this year, Joan and I visited Boston for our #CareerNow Tour. We hosted a small breakfast event at Tufts University so that we could share news about Joan’s new book, and talk with more of the students there.
After the breakfast, one of the students came up to Joan holding a tattered Peter Drucker book. This student was Khuyen Bui Gia, an incoming junior at Tufts University. At the time, we had no idea that Khuyen would be the winner of a worldwide Peter Drucker essay competition.
The Drucker Challenge is a contest for students and professionals from the ages of 18 to 35. Organized by the Peter Drucker Society Europe, the contest aims at raising awareness of the works and humanistic values of Peter Drucker among young people –
the new generation poised to build on a management philosophy that puts the human being at its center. This year’s essay prompt was all about Managing Oneself in a digital age, examining the human side of technology.
In addition to his cash prize of € 1,000 for placing first in the essay competition, Khyuen will be going on an all expense paid trip to Vienna to attend the 7th Global Peter Drucker Forum on November 5 – 6, 2015!
To Khyuen- Congratulations on your success. We cannot wait to see what your future holds.
